Japanese Shared Apartment Tour - Oakhouse Tama Plaza | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
A quick tour of my apartment in a 'share house' where the residents share the kitchen, showers, bathrooms but have their own bedroom. So far it's been amazing!! If you'd like to read why I left the first place so quickly, here is a link to my blog about it: http://gaijinbarbie.blogspot.jp/2013/... ------------------ My name is Emma, I'm an American who has recently moved to Japan. I make videos about my experiences living here, as well as blog and tweet. Be sure to follow on the sites below!! I love the idea of a shared house. I. lived in one in the States...it is very practical and you are not alone

Is it true that Japan is a pad nation and that tampons are nearly non-existent?
If so, then how many boxes of tampons did you take there with you?
Sorry, but I really need to know. -
huh same share house as okanoTV
-
you are really pretty 😊

Hi Emma i was wondering if the internet gets slow because you share with others, im a youtuber aswell and was wondering since i have to post videos while im there. And is this sharehouse in Tokyo?

It is like a student/young worker type "foyer" style building that they have or had in many places in Europe.I lived in one in France long ago and the 1st floor had a cafeteria, bar, lounge area, etc. The only problem with that one was incredible loud noise.Pretty close to dorm like living and a good place to make friends.

I love Tama Plaza! I hope to move to that area soon. I work at an English school that has two locations and one is in Tama Plaza :)

Why suffer in Japan while the world is waiting for you?
-
hey so what do you do right now
-
I hope I am not re-asking a same old question, but is a shared apartment something only for students or foreigners like a hostel? or are there middle aged unmarried working Japanese who live like this as part of typical culture?

this is the craziest video apartment tour I've ever seen in my life is like prison

What was the average age of the residents. Did you feel safe? And were there mostly Americans staying there?
-
hey, how was your expereince there? I really like the house and I was planning to move there, probably to a shared room also, did you have any problems (or heard of anyone having problems) with stuff stolen? Thats the part that scares me the most.
-
Youre a lil cutie :)
-
:( I miss this place...
-
that looks like an amazing place and so nice. Can you live there for as long as you want /pay or is it just for a while and then you have to move out? Cuz I have never seen a place like that when you share so much rooms with others.
