Japan City Freezing Eggs For Women to Boost Population | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
The Japanese city of Urayasu has announced that it will help pay for women to freeze their eggs in a pilot program aimed at boosting the country’s population. The move comes in response to recent census data, which revealed that Japan's population had fallen by one million people in the past five years. The city is allocating $850,000 to the three-year pilot project, which is being conducted by Juntendo University Urayasu Hospital, and scientists in charge say they hope preserving eggs will encourage women to give birth when they are ready instead of giving up having children. We look at the effort to address Japan’s declining birth rate on the Lip News with Jo Ankier, Nik Zecevic and Joya Mia Italiano. http://www.apnewsarchive.com/2016/A-Tokyo-suburb-will-help-women-cover-the-cost-of-freezing-their-eggs-in-a-pilot-program-aimed-at-countering-Japan-s-declining-birth-rate/id-180c81dcfc184f2ba8002b51bde88c63 https://tradegenius.co/go/ref/20 Newest Lip News playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajn5_uX1_tw&list=PLjk3H0GXhhGcjJDo6cQBCQprDMQyUQY3r&index=1 The Journalists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HdTomgaZEM&index=1&list=PLC937B599FD2B8241&nohtml5=False CRIME TIME clips playlist – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J-gLJjNuF8&index=1&list=PLjk3H0GXhhGeC9DbpSnIvd2i9BHh2dBvv&nohtml5=False BYOD (Bring Your Own Doc) Highlight Videos- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDvL616NNy0&list=PLjk3H0GXhhGeu2DCf6Ouo7hTsA5QB2MAL&index=1&nohtml5=False MEDIA MAYHEM short videos playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InOhNOpMY24&list=PLjk3H0GXhhGcz4un-zws5sMlCLk3NNjDP&index=1&nohtml5=False http://www.thelip.tv https://www.facebook.com/thelip.tv http://www.youtube.com/theliptv

You guys have got to start doing more indepth research on your news. Seriously. The fallout for the Chinese because of the one-child policy, the aging population with no one to take care of them, the rise in sexual violence toward women, the forced abortions of second children, the rise in infanticide...these are all in the mix when it comes to China's new policies. As for the Japanese, again you guys need to do more research. Many women may work outside of the home but most of those women are very conservative by our standards and want to be housewives, and want to have children who will take care of them when they get older. The Japanese culture has many issues that contribute to childlessness, and being productive is only part of the problem. Many of these Asian cultures are in between the old norms where kids take care of their parents and the new norms of the government or your job giving you a pension. It's very complicated and reducing every news idea to some simplistic idea without adequate research is not good journalism on your part. As for the population issue, please research it and don't go repeating fallacious statements about how overpopulated we are or how much people the earth can manage. In the present paradigm, there may or may not be a population problem. But the present paradigm has everyone moving to the cities, has multinationals owning water, etc. Please, please, please, THINK about your commentary instead of just repeating some age-old trope or some personal uninformed opinion. And really, Young Chinese and many Asian families often have less children per family than Americans. Shouldn't you be more worried about us Americans instead of picking on Asians? Just my 0.02

Just drop a load of Americans there to take care of business.

the world is overpopulated? china is actually not overpopulated its just 147 per sq km, india is overpopulated more than 380 per sq km

Japanese men are all gay.

Most of population growth is in Africa with an average birth rate of 5 to 6 children per woman. Latin America, Europe and Asia have very low birth rate in the present . Surprisingly Mexico has one of the lowest birth rates in all the American continent.

I'm glad Japan is finally doing something about this <3
