Japan Apartment Hunting - 3LDK ¥100,000/month | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
This apartment is in Shizuoka City, Japan. Rent is 100,000 yen per month or roughly $1,275.00 USD. "3LDK" stands for 3 rooms plus Living Dining and Kitchen areas. Each apartment also includes one parking spot. If we decide to rent this place we will need to give the landlord a non-refundable gift of several months rent. This custom is called "key money". This custom is thought to have originated after the war when housing was scarce and renters were truely grateful to secure a place in such a tight market. The custom of giving key money is showing signs of fading in modern Japan. ---- Welcome to the YouTube Bullet Train channel. What kind of job do you have? I'm thinking about moving and wondering what kind of jobs foreigners should get that pay pretty good.

What more could one ask for than vertical car storage(gimme that Fit!) and the amazing bonuses of indoor spider/gimp storage.I'm impressed!

reminds me of an episode of House Hunters International haha.

Cool. Innovation in Japan.

Yeah, they're pretty common in Japan, especially in the city (malls, downtown) or anywhere that you need more parking spaces but can't build a traditional parking garage. Just think of it the way the Japanese do when they need more space: build upward, not outward. The coolest versions are like giant jukeboxes. They take your car into a lift and follow a set of tracks up and around a pillar or grid system and store it in a spot. Then it retrieves it for you when you scan your parking ticket.

What's that tan car sitting on? Is it an elevator?

So is there a spot where softypapa films me in every Japanese home? lol
-
Never mind. I replayed it and the second time I heard "Not Speed Gimp". LOL
-
You're gonna make me sleep in a closet?! Sheesh!
-
Awesome, we had exactly the same bathroom sink, bath and toilet in our old apartment in Nagoya. Little bit on the expensive side, eh?
-

Gimp storage. Very important.
