It looked like this hotel was inside the airport. Was it?

Strangest hotel I've ever slept at was completely the opposite of a pod. The hotel "room" was actually several rooms spread among 2 stories. There were 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, a banquet-style dining room, a game room with pool table, another little dining/mingling room with espresso machine and bar. It was a suite at the Skylofts in Vegas.

that was a cool vid. cute :)

The weirdest place I ever slept at was at a sports stadium in Prague. It was during one of those European trips where myself and friends were trying to see how cheap we could go.

FYI - Capsule Hotels originally started off as a place for salarymen (office workers) to sleep at if they missed the last train home. The first time I stayed at a capsule hotel, I was surprised to see neckties, undershirts and dress shirts for sale at the front desk.
Over time, people found capsule hotels as an affordable alternative and began to use them as part of their holiday plans. This is going to sound weird, but I'm not sure when they transitioned to allowing women to use their service. I was in Osaka a good while ago and there was a capsule hotel with separate entrances for men and women. The two could meet in the food area or the smoking room.
Anyway, these hotels are dotted around the country and are very useful. However, here is the caveat... These places typically do not have a lot of storage area as they were primarily designed as stated above. The hotel in this video is a unique case as it is next to the airport and was designed with travelers in mind.
If anyone does travel to Japan and is feeling adventurous, try a capsule hotel for a night. The major travel websites usually have listings. -
How was the privacy? I would hope you wouldn't be able to hear the rustling about of the person next to you, or if anyone decided to start pacing up and down the hall. Were they gender segregated?
Either way, I'm thinking the airport isn't the only place that could benefit from this concept! -

How about doing Dubai, Egypt and South Africa?

Seems pretty cool, I hope there's air conditioning and ventilation in the pods, because I'm gonna suffocate without that

Me and my friend slept all sorts of places on our interrail trip around Europe. weirdest was probably either a park in Barcelona, Amsterdam airport or an outdoor train coupé in Marseilles train station. Great fun and bonding though 😊

The first thing I started thinking about was how many people have gotten kinky in those pods, pretty much the same thing I think about when I walk into a hotel room lol.
-
How awesome was that?!?! I wish they have these at every airport in the world!!!!
-
I wish we had them here!

Strangest kind of kitschy hotel I stayed in was the Caboose hotel in Pennsylvania. Every suite was in an actual railroad train caboose.
