I have been to Tokyo for the first time last year. My boyfriend and I bought each a ticket in the morning - spent the day at the desired destination and bought a ticket to go back to hotel in the evening. we been there for 8 days. Next year we are going for 15 days. Would you suggest us to buy a Suica? (as tourists??) Would this be more convenient?

Can the JR rail pass be used for the metro system? If so, do you need to get a ticket for the station you want to go to or can you simple hop on a train?
