are you looking for an assistant,?would love to learn more from you, your style is amazing.

From my understanding, if one says they want to be a manga artist, it not only means to draw in the style that is popular in Japan, but to also have a strong grasp on Japanese culture, the language, and in turn be able to reach a Japanese audience (hence the desire to live in the country as well). So that could be a complicated goal for some who doesn't think beyond wanting to draw in "manga style". You have to know your audience, especially if you're intent on publishing work in Japan. Now, the second best option is to do manga inspired work as a side occupation and using social media platforms like DeviantArt, Pixiv, Tumblr, and Patreon to market and sell your fanart and original work. The latter option is usually better for those who can't afford travel, school tuition, and live in Japan for long periods of time, as well as the added time needed to learn the language. Doing/learning to draw manga style as a side job/hobby allows you to work at your own pace (and learn the language as well), and may work for some people.

I'm planning to be a mangaka :) but the problem is..... can my manga still be animated even if I live outside Japan? And is Mangaka a course in college?
-
Thanks for making this video & interview happen. I've wanted to try my hand at manga since I was a teenager, but only got to a skill level I'm slightly comfortable with just recently. I started a project, but was feeling kinda discouraged until I saw this video.
Thank you guys. -
素朴な疑問なんだけど、
