Any advise? When I use my bare minerals powder, (which is after moisturizer, sunscreen, etc), I feel like the powder doesnt go on my face so smoothly from the brush. I dont know if this is due to the brush or the mineral powder but when I use my blush brush of the same brand it goes on smoothly.

Thank you so much for posting this, I bought this product and the other day at sephora, and put it on for the first time today & I didn't know there was a technique, so my face looked blotchy & obvious so I dabbed some of it off. I was thinking if I should return it today & stick to my Mac mineralizing powder (which I still have), which I have now learned I could use on top for a better look. So thank you, I think I'm going to give it another try now

Do you use a primer underneath this foundation?

Hiya, Bare Minerals is really good on my skin because I suffer from rosacea, which means my skin goes really red from heat, hot drinks and anything with alcohol in, so using the original foundation can help calm my redness and even out my skin in total, making it flawless.

Just started using BM but I feel like I'm not putting enough on to get good covoursge 😒

bare minerals is great its the only foundation that doesnt make my face itch

The Bare Minerals Original Foundation unfortunately has Bismuth Oxychloride in it which, which causes and irritates cystic acne. The Matte Foundation doesn't contain any Bismuth Oxychloride, so all us acne-prone girls should be using that formula. If you feel that Bare Minerals still breaks you out, then try the Matte Foundation formula before giving up on the brand :)

I'm deciding between bare minerals and it cosmetics ... I have very acne prone skin and want something that won't break me out TONS of products have let me down and I really want something I can trust. Please help me I'm going tomorrow makeup shopping and I would love help.

I love bare minerals! I used to get such an oily nose with liquid foundation but that doesn't happen at all now. Maybe it also has something to do with me using rose hip oil at night?
It looks amazing in photos too.. My skin looks like it's been airbrushed. One thing you do need to do is exfoliate regularly as your skin will flake otherwise. It's really helped reduce my black heads too. I love it! I use hourglasses' primer before and I also spritz Pixi's setting spray after applying the mineral veil just to get rid of any overly powdery areas such as around my nostrils and under my eyes where I need concealer and powder to hide the bluey/purple tones.
