Hotel remm Akihabara, Tokyo, Single Room | Tokyo

The Hotel remm Akihabara is a somewhat overpriced "new-concept" business hotel by the Japanese Hankyu-Hanshin Hotels group. Rooms are really small even by Japanese standards, which is made worse by a quite unefficient layout. There is literally no space at all to put even one medium-sized suitcase, and the little space to put clothes on hangers is impractically hidden in a miniscule alcove. The overall design concept is very modern and makes the room look more spacious, however the bathroom flooring is a serious design flaw: The material is a little bit adhesive, which makes it suck up dust and other (worse) dirt around the toilet and in the shower. Good points are of course the panoramic window with a nice view towards the city and Akihabara Station, a comfortable bed, a massage chair. Location is quite useful with an almost direct connection to Akihabara Station, from where most of Tokyo's train lines can be reached quite easily. If you can get a rate below $100 USD and are travelling alone with absolutely minimal luggage (say, just a laptop bag), this hotel could however be a reasonable, modern and comfortable option to stay in central Tokyo. http://www.remm.jp/akihabara/ Hotel remm Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan, June 25th, 2015.
