__Hi there, Since the topic of Crime came up on the video: Crime in HK is less than Tokyo - and Japan in general is already very safe compared to so many other places in the world, but note this; crime in HK is lower than Tokyo and/or Japan in general. *****. Additionally, English-Speaking foreigners in HK have a crucial advantage - *British law, law is all in English - This becomes important not only for your daily life, but if you were to get involved in any form of business in HK also. *******Now for Crime - The same does NOT apply for Mainland China and Macau, as crime levels over there vary from place to place; though as a whole China/Macau has a much higher level of occurance of crime. With Europe as an example, the occurance is comparable to countries like France and Germany as best case scenarios, and some Southern or Eastern European countries as worse case scenarios. An extra point: Personal firearms; they are illegal and restricted in all of the cities/countries mentioned in my comment. ************Sources: Personal experience, Living in HK and Major cities in Japan on a longterm basis. P.S This is one of my all time favorite channels, great selection of topics, very real and unpretentious - overall good fun!__

At the end you mention that Japan has more of an American atmosphere. I think that was the one thing that I latched onto when I was there for over a week. HK is a bit more british.
-
this video is not interesting your face must not be interrested
-
Bunch of Bull shits again...
-
We are the moronic borg, your idiotic distinctiveness shall be added to our own.
Ohm's law must be upheld, resistance is futile! -
You look great Victor but booze has a lot of calories in it. I feel so safe in Japan everywhere I go. Not so in the US. HK is having political problems. I loved being an attraction in Kaifeng because I was an attraction because so few white people visit there. I felt safe in China also.. Good Chinese saying is:"I am getting fat eating my own words"
-
I've been following you since 2010.
Recently, I've been listening to these laundry videos while I draw. Thanks Victor~ -
which girls are hotter.....HK girls or JP girls

We are supposed to leave comments in the comment section? Damn, I was about to leave them on the wall of a public toilet!

I've often thought about how we see celebrities so often that we feel like we know them but then if you ever did meet them they would have no idea who you are of course. I think it may be a little worse with YouTubers though because these videos are a usually little more intimate, like you talking directly to us and we actually have a small amount of interaction either via the live videos with a chat or you answering questions. I know I've talked with you on Twitter and chatted with other jVloggers via email or the like. Something I've certainly never done with a huge celeb like Tom Cruise or such. This small amount of contact may make it weirder than not having any contact at all.
-
I've met five people I went to school with after more than 10 years since I graduated thanks to Facebook. I have almost no friends so I make these small reunions to reinforce existing friendships.
-
Why are your seemingly unnecessary tangents so addicting to listen to? hahah
-
Don't you pretty much die from lack of breathable air if you live in Hong Kong?
-
I have never had a good metabolism. Genetics, female, 4'11... haha. I can't eat much and have to be active or I get fat. I'm jealous of people that don't have to worry about that when they are my age.
-
What's the point of going to a different country if your not going to learn a new language.
-
Exercise, great. I wish all fathers did that.

Japan is actually much more expensive than Hong Kong but you can find much more reasonably priced apartments outside of Japan's major cities. I lived in HK for 2.5 years and Japan for 1 year. Actually I love going to Japan and have visited close to 30 times in the last 10 years but it's easier for foreigners to find work and friends in HK. I have found many friends in Japan to be fly by night friends. They just disappear out of your life and never respond to you. HK friends are much more loyal and I have some HK friends who are long-term friends. Japan has some amazing cities and the main reason I prefer Japan is the women. It's very easy to find single women to date in Japan then it is in HK. I'm not saying Japanese women are easy, on the contrary but they are open to dating. I don't think I have ever spent a day alone while visiting Japan. I prefer Japan but Japan has the strangest culture and customs I have ever seen in my extensive travels. It's difficult to make friends but I like the way Victor explained about those positions being taken. I believe the Western view is there is always room for new friends if they are quality people. Bottom line is it's a matter of preference where you decide to live.
