Hiking FAIL at 堂平山 | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
We made a spur of the moment trip to 堂平山 in the Saitama prefecture two days ago for no reason other than I was going crazy and Ryosuke needed us to get out of the house. I hate cold weather, so I tend to lock myself indoors during the winter and work pretty much 24/7. Of course this hiking trip ended up being a massive fail because the entire mountain was covered in snow and we spent the rest of the afternoon messing around by a river and eating fruit and home-made food we bought at a farmer's market. How much is it to rent a car for a day?

I ended up watching this video again. How did I not press like on this!? I must have forgotten. This is such a perfect little adventure in nature :)

Well thank you for my new fact for the day. I had no idea that in Japan, they drive on the left side of the road. Oh, how that would be, er...FUN!

You need a hat😜

Beautiful location thank you ..I was reading that use of a car is very expensive. Now you know always be prepared when going on a walk outside. Hat gloves cover the neck .. few small screws in the sole of shoes will help not to fall on ice ..rope in trunk of car to wrap tires for traction if caught on ice just be sure rope does not touch anything that not appropriate. Always be prepared and always safely have fun. Thank you both .

we have a parasailing hiking hill right next to our house! it's fun watching them float around and we've hiked to the top to watch them jump too. i don't think i'd ever do it, so difficult to get the right wind and several ppl crash down into trees and need rescuing.

wowy :0

Listening to that wind blowing on the micro phone reminded me of the midwest winters I used to experience. That cold air just sucks the heat out of your body. I'm sure if you had mentioned this trip to either of your parental units they would have told you, "Take a hat!"

I think you should use less background music on your vlogs. Let your mood define the tone of the video.
I really like you guys and I wish that you have more subscribers.

Instead of using speakers in the car, you can get these little FM transmitters/tuners for your car! They are super cheap on ebay, and you just plug it into your headphone jack on your ipod/phone/tablet/laptop etc and it will transmit the sound to your car radio. You will need to find an empty FM radio channel that isn't playing anything on your radio and simply set your transmitter to it. It works pretty good. They are rechargeable with a usb cord too. I used to use mine all the time before I got a car I could directly plug my phone into.

Ore wa Hamakko desu!....and I miss Japanese snow! Go overnight camping if you're into that sort of thing. I have fond memories of camping in Hakone and around Nikko. Jia mata....
