hi, i am thinking of going to spend a week in tokyo with a one/two night stay over in hakone. i was wondering how much money in usd you would recommend taking for travel expenses food and acitivites. i will not be visiting any big clubs or fancie restaurants just want to see the sites and explore :)

Is booking a private onsen the best way to go if you have small tattoos? Or will they deny you entry no matter what if you have them?

Where can I find train times of trips from Shinjuku to Hakone? Also How much is the round trip fare from Hakone to Shinjuku? We are going to Tokyo next month. Is June a good time to visit Hakone because I heard many people say June is a rainy time to visit Hakone and we may not have a clear view of Mount Fuji. Also can you recommend a hotel or ryokan for us. Planning on staying for 1 night in Hakone.

+TabiEats Thanks for yet another great video. We went to Hakone once, on the regular train (came with tourist passes), but it was a dreary and rainy day, so I want to revisit someday and will take the Romance Car.
I have been wanting to try an onsen and will put the one you went to on the list. It looks great for a day trip, like you did and to have the private room, too. Do we need to reserve the room ahead of time? Do you think it will be okay for non-Japanese speakers?
