I'm from Jamaica, so we're very familiar with these mosquito borne diseases. Based on your symptoms you could have either Zika virus or Chikungunya virus (which I've had). But bcuz of the tingling and numbness in your hands and feet and the timing of the disease it's definitely Zika virus since it's usually associated with a nerve disease and it's prevalent right now in the Caribbean. Thankfully you didn't get that symptom worst bcuz you could have ended up in the hospital! and thankfully Jessica didn't get it either as it can spread between partners. I'm in Chicago so luckily I won't end up with another virus lol.

I touch the outside of the plane before I take off and when I land also! My hubby laughs at me when I make him do it since he is always carrying the bags!!!

Hi Bucket List Family! Love your videos which I just discovered via the Secret Bay facebook page. I went to medical school in Dominica. The nature island is gorgeous! You should add Chikingunya to your list of possible causes of your acute febrile illness. http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/2225687-clinical#b1. It is seen quite often in that part of the Caribbean. Sorry you got sick but glad you recovered quickly and got to enjoy Dom!
