Fishbone was a killer band, and I have this and the Warfield show at home. Both are great! I saw the original lineup twice, and they blew me away each time. It saddened me when Kendall and Chris left, but I still continued to see them until Fish left (and then I started losing interest in them). The band that calls themselves the Fishbone now, although excellent players, just don't have none of the "magic" the original band had.

Fishbone early music was way way better! Dr madd vibe sucks!

Hands Down Greatest Live Band !

A band can't get much better live than this, damn.. Have to see these guys live at least once in a lifetime..
-
I was there! I was 14!! and it was my first gig in my life!

I was into thrash metal in my teens in the mid to late 80's an then I happened to hear "Subliminal Fascism". I went out and purchased "Truth and Soul", used, on cassette tape and the rest was history for me. Nearly 30 years later, I took my 15 year old son, a trombone player and ska aficionado to a Fishbone show.
I am so grateful for the thousands of hours of entertainment and fun Fishbone have provided me. Thank you to all Fishbone members, past and present. -
Bad Brains and this band... The most CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED bands of all times...

I saw Fishbone at the 40 Watt in Athens 1993 or 94, tripping balls, the bar was virtually empty but they still were so fucking awesome, this band was so amazing and fun live.

Closest thing to raw uncut P-Funk you could get in the late 80s/early 90s were these guys AND THEY END UP SURPASSING THAT! My God, if only the Hip-Hop/New Jack R&B generation had realized that they had more interesting and exciting alternatives to the stereotypically "urban" sounds they were so preoccupied with back then for them to open their eyes, ears, and especially minds to limitless musical possibilities:::sigh:::Fishbone, probably the very last of the truly great L.A. bands the likes of which we'll most likely never see again...oh well, at least we got this living snapshot of what they were all about during their absolute prime! It will have to do for now.
