In this episode of Let's Play I Am Setsuna; we Setsuna and Aeterna: the sacrifice and her guard. We almost get to accomplish our goal only to be stopped by our own doubt. Why does Setsuna care about us when we plan on killing her? The premise of I Am Setsuna sees a maiden be ritually sacrificed to demons to appease them. Every few years a new woman is chosen to be sacrificed and on this particular year Setsuna finds herself the chosen one. The game follows Setsuna and a band of mercenaries tasked with delivering her to the sacrificial temple. I Am Setsuna is a JRPG developed by Tokyo RPG Factory and published Square Enix. Tokyo RPG Factory is a studio created by Square Enix to create JRPGs like the ones from the golden era of the era. I Am Setsuna, their first title, was conceptualized in September of 2014 and was completed in the summer of 2015. The game boasts a battle system similar to Chrono Trigger, it has monsters on the overworld as well as an ATB system. I Am Setsuna was developed using Unity and was first released in Japan on the PS4 and the Vita but was released in North America in the July 2016 on Steam and PS4 (the Vita version was not ported). While the game did not get stellar reviews on the Japanese market, I decided to buy the game on launch day to support Tokyo RPG Factor as I Am Setsuna is the type of game I've been craving for a long time.
