I saw the group on this tour. At the time I saw them, the Crash Test Dummies had the biggest album in the country - and they were the opening act. BRUTAL YOUTH was having a hard time getting out of the box, so most everyone was there to see CTD. While it was wonderful to see EC and the Attractions together again, they didn't look comfortable being together. Steve Nieve's playing was distracting (as is evident here) and he never kept the sound on the keyboards the same for more than a verse or so.

like U2 with i will follow and REM's radio free europe-this year's girl was his peak

The Alison encore ends with little bits of two other torch songs: The Spinners' "Living A Little, Laughing A Little" and Hank Williams' " You Win Again." Great stuff Double A, thx!

Not to mention...ONE fine setlist. Bravo Elvis !

Bruce Thomas has pointed out in his book that wherever Elvis is, he adopts the local accent. He lapses into Japanese at times here!

Such a joy when the little hands of concrete lay low and let the professionals play.
