They drive better than Californians, and I've noticed they give way for faster moving vehicles in the fast lane. In California sometimes they like to play games with you. It's called the cat and mouse game, or follow the leader, and when you try to overtake them, even when you have plenty of room too, they get bent out of shape and speed up. Sometimes it gets crazy and some people just cut them right off by inches. People are getting fed up here with drivers who play games or try to cause accidents.

Yokohama looks beutiful. I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I was just reading Alan Boothe's book The Roads To Sata, he says the pacific coast of Japan was a horrible industrialized and polluted eye sore. Do you find this to still be true? I know the Japanese keep things that are embarrassing hidden, just wondered what your take was , since you live there.
