Japan are geniuses. People all over the world should be doing this. Great video
-
Considering this is posted by CNN, and their reputation of fake news, I can't really be sure this is a true story either.
-
There is one more reason why they don't want to use explosives: Those buildings are a lot tougher than those in most countries because the Japanese ones have to withstand powerful earthquakes.
-
it looks like the building was designed to be lowered like that lol
-
one of many reason why i love Japan... a marvel of ultra modern civilisation...
-
A very expensive alternative.
-
It's not a bad looking building. They decided to dismantle it at great expense rather than re-fit it? That does seem odd to me. Was it really that bad?
-
Indonesia replicates this method for a 21 years old building that has no more construction since 1997
(you know that buildings in tropical countries are doomed to be very easy to automatically destruct) -
Well that's not going to give us an excuse for war so I'll pass.
-
That was awesome. the way of the future.
-
Ignoring anything ? Like maybe ... COST ?
-
Splode it and say it was a gas leak. Then just walk away like it never happened. You know, like the Murican govrmnt.
-
Godzilla would take it down much more quickly.
-
This is absolutely wonderful. What I don't understand is the type of of jacks used. I am sure there are jacks way more powerful than I am exposed to but this is really a nice way of bringing down a building.
-
Um nope, I aint working under that shit!!!
-
CNN you still suck
-
This method of demolition would seem to leave the structure very vulnerable to earthquakes. It would be cost prohibitive anywhere that doesn't have super valuable real estate.
-
controlled demolotion like WTC7
-
Avoiding explosions is a sure sign of faggotry.
