Another video (one of the three in the "In Praise of the Coffins" trilogy that I did during my trip to Japan this year -- this one is a close-up inside each individual cocoon. I tried to crawl in and out to explain what were the characteristics of this type of hotel room in Tokyo. Actually, I didn't feel it was that bad at all. The bathhouse was great and I had a great time in the "relaxing area" where I could sit and enjoy unlimited beverages, massage chairs, and a big screen TV. Or perhaps I was so tired that it didn't matter anymore where I slept. One thing I learned though -- very philosophical one in fact -- "no matter how big you think you are, you are always going to be smaller than your coffin." That is, no matter how big your house is, you are going to be able to enjoy only the space the size of your body and a little room for air to breath -- just like in these capsule hotels.
