wow. this games looks pretty awesome for a PS1 racer of this style. yeah, I know it's no Gran Tourismo, but it still looks pretty awesome.
-
Mark, try actually trying to pull drifts on this game? Its actually faster than gripping lmao
Admittedly it does take a bit getting used to though -
Mark try Racing Lagoon on ps1 I think you'll find that it is more of a predecessor to Tokyo Extreme than this game.

This better be played on the THRUST MASTER or I'm going to be very disappointed in you.
-
Tokyo Xtreme Racer for Sega Dreamcast is 1 of my top 5 games ever! Awesome video.
-
You really need scanlines to make this look better, running on a LCD panel just makes it look dreadful, it was designed for a CRT
-
This game is also available for the SEGA Saturn (JP exclusive)
It's named "Shutokou Battle '97: Drift King" -
coos bay is pretty cool if you ride quads or dirt bikes, Mark
-
knock'em tha fuck out with nakitech!
-
Frame skipping in footage is not the best decision Mark... Doesn't look any more cheesy or retro anyway. It just hurts my eyes. and I will definitely NOT pay for a better frame rate in the video lol.
-
soundtrack by Eric Johnson? lol
-
Track looks like Tokyo Route 246 a bit, or whatever the track was called on Gran Turismo.
-
came for the yellow mr2 in the thumb nail

I don't blame mark on the drifting on this game cause the 3rd person camera is actually terrible. It doesn't follow your car when you drift. I hate it when games do that. 1st person ain't bad tho.
-
Am I the only person who feels that Playstation-era graphics are becoming as nostalgic as 16-bit graphics?
-
I love this game when i ever play this since 1998 USA version cover PSX

if you are looking for more PS1 games to review, you should try Silent Bomber.
its like Bomber Man gameplay mixed with a futuristic/sci-fi/mecha art style. its full of robots, explosions, and lasers, so i think you might like it. -
You didn't get it Mark. Drifting is the most important part of that game.
