So amazing if our band played like that I would be so happy I mean we are good just not this good

This orchestra would wipe the floor with any U.S. high school band.

Playing in an ensemble with such a great reputation as this one must be frightening. One little slip and you lose your job.

Let me guess that musically wise you felt maybe it was better, but technically this just owns any American high school band upside down, left right centre. Lively is super contextual anyway. Your view is too narrow, learn to evaluate all aspects of the music before you give a negative comment, or await a shit storm .

That's hilarious. No doubt, she's just biased. Most high schoolers are. ;)

That's probably a result in a clash in philosophies (I can't tell for sure because I don't know where your band is located). The Japanese will play exactly what's on the page, exactly the way it's written -- and nothing more. American ensembles value musicality and creative interpretation more than perfection. (To be honest, I'd go with the perfection.)

wtf? are u kidding? tokyo orchestra is better 1000000x than ur high school musical band lol , this orchestra have the bests professionals musicians and you say that your school band with amateurs make better? LOOOOL

I really love the Opera. I only wish I could find Carmen on flute recording that I used to have. I lost it. T.T
-
Each band has their own view on how to play a song...chill out

You compare Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra with a high school band?
-
Not really good in my opinion, too rigid & fragmented. My high school did this as my final show last fall & sounded more lively.

very nice :)
