A week in Tokyo on my way to Thailand in 1985....I was so glad to have a police officer recommend one of these capsule hotels after I discovered the hostel I planned to stay at was closed for then New Years holiday...and it was cold and 11PM ...I paid $13 per night then....the best way to save money in Tokyo...Super clean, safe an d quiet....

You should mention that is not recomended to claustrophobic people!! ;-) I Think! By the way seems to be nice principally the bath!! :D

As a fan of sci-fi author William Gibson this was really cool. A lot of his down on their luck characters hang out at capsule hotels.

Great place to stay when someone pisses off their wife and need to get away from all the nagging.
