HUGE SHOUTOUT TO ANGELUS DIRECT! Hello everybody, Today I'm doing a restore / custom on my Adidas NMD. First i want to start off by saying THANK YOU FOR WATCHING! PLEASE LIKE & SHARE! I am aware that boosts material shouldn't be painted.. reasons being; Chipping overtime, And sensitive to start flaking. this is all true, but i find if you do a thorough prepping of the material and apply light even coats it should come out pristine. I started with a black first coat (not heavy at all, very light coverage) then i proceeded with a flat black 2 & third coat. When i painted the soles i used the heat gun as soon as i was done apply to give it a better chance at sticking. On the heel tab/ i did flat black and duller. Same as 4 the rectangular boxes on/above the sole. I decided before i even painted the shoe that i would leave the blue. it gives it a nice royal feel. I've been wearing these almost everyday for about 2 weeks since filming. overall they hold up exceptionably well, aside from the occasional chipping. (just being honest, if anyone out there is thinking of doing the repair on similar material ) ITEMS NEEDED CAN ALL BE PURCHASED AT ANGELUSDIRECT.COM including; -Angelus shoe cleaner -Black -Flat Black -Leather Prep & Deglazer -Duller I also used Krylon Matte finisher which you can buy at any Walmart or Art store.
