damn, ive never seen tonkatsu that tender. if you can just break it apart with the chopsticks. i havent had unagi in ages either. its time to rectify that.

It's extremely ridiculous how they over-exaggerate the sushi making process. There is no way in hell it takes 10 years to learn how to cut fish meat into slices and fold it over some rice in a certain way, I'm sorry, but anyone who believes that is naive. They just do it for the false sense of honor for when they finally become chefs, realistically, it probably takes no more than 6 months of work to attain the skill to become a master at making sushi. Takes less than 10 years to become a neurosurgeon, which is INFINITELY more difficult and takes an incomparably higher amount of skill.

Sucks

that boiled egg yolk dropped out :(

Tonkatsu look great, but it probably one of the biggest disappointments I ever had eating Japanese food. The oil they use to fry it I'm not a big fan of, but it also drenched in Tonkatsu sauce, which I absolutely hate, which is weird because I like Worchestire sauce. I used to like cabbage, but after living here, I grown sick of it because they replace anything lettuce with cabbage.

Loved this show thanks for uploading < 3 the japanese seem so kind and inviting I would love to go visit and try their food, it looks uber delicious!

if you live in japan long enough and eat a lot of these shit. you'll soon realize they're all tasteless. they taste the same and often nauseating. the desserts are even worse. nothing but red beans.

-

-
Just curious,About no pork for jew. Is this a strict rule or it really depends on the individual to decide?
-
nope, studying for medicine to be a doctor is longer, if you want to be a surgeon it will take you atleast 15-20 yrs. what's wrong with the narrator? plus being a doctor means that even after graduation you still have to study, that 10 yrs that he said was only for pre-med and proper med and its still an unofficial since you need to study again for a degree in specialization. Being a chef wheter a sushi chef or whatever won't be as long as studying medicine, darn men, I'm not angry but read your notes first since doctors handle life

unagi is one of my favorite foods but eel has gotten rare in japan in recent times so its better not to eat them too often :(

The proverb that Andrew refers to is:
Reading: にとをおうものはいっとをもえず
Translation: He who chases two rabbits catches neither. -
At 4:43 that looks like Hidekazu Tojo!
