Birds of Tokyo - Day One (Full Album) | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
One of the Birds' best albums, but it seems to be overlooked in favor of the follow-ups, which is a real shame. "Wayside" and "Rest Here My Brother" are two of the best tracks this band has ever recorded! In fact the whole album is fantastic - the only "questionable" cut is Eduardo, which always seemed really obnoxious to me. Nevertheless, a perfect display of pop rock done right from Perth's finest. It's also worth pointing out the band is nearing completion of their fourth full-length album as we speaking, and judging by the blog it's shaping up very nicely! TRACKLIST 1. Black Sheets 2. Off Kilter 3. Minor War 4. Violet 5. Wayside 6. Desperate 7. Like Rain 8. Get Out 9. Eduardo 10. Rest Here My Brother 11. Are You Sure You're Alive?

I don't think they ever surpassed the songwriting on this album

Kenny is a good projectionist but the result is a beautiful song so well done, keep your anomalties

i think Eduardo is a fine song except for the breakdown it's a bit in the bad side.

good album people, I think this is an amazing band, I love the song "Are You Sure You're Alive" each song is determined on each persons' perspective and life experiences. pls comment.

do yourself a favour and listen to wayside @13:35
you wont regret it! -
In the comments of every single video I have seen by this amazing band, it seems no one knows or cares that Ian Kenny is from Karnivool, a vastly different kind of sound. Progressive metal and Numetal in their first 2 albums then Prog. rock for their third. I love both these bands, mainly because of Ian Kenny.

I showed my colleague Eduardo the comments, ha! But agreed, that song's a blemish on an otherwise excellent album :)

Eduardo is the best song that will ever be created. That makes this album pretty darn good.

I don't get it. Eduardo sounds like a normal song. Except it has a breakdown. Certainly doesn't fit the mood of the rest of the album.
