A week in Tokyo and Kyoto, taking in all the things to do in Tokyo and Kyoto! Tokyo's neon whirlpools of Shibuya Crossing, Kabukicho and Shinjuku, Harajuku with its crazy Harajuku fashion, and Asakusa, with time out at the Meiji Shrine and Shinjuku Gyoen. Then onto the Shinkansen to Kyoto. Go see Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari-taisha, Kinkaku-ji and Yasaka shrines before you get templed-out, then relax in Gion... In between sampling the superb Japanese Cuisine: Sushi, Sashimi, Udon. And if you're looking for Kaseki (a traditional multi-course meal) in Kyoto, you can't go past Giro Giro, incredible food, incredible value - little wonder it's one of the top rated Kaseki restaurants in Kyoto! This is part 1 of a two week adventure in Japan; a whirlwind week in Tokyo and Kyoto. Part 2 is powder skiing in Hakuba https://youtu.be/U1P4dPbNYTM Part 3 is the skiing and trip from our 6-year old son Aiden's perspective. https://youtu.be/JHzXMtspjC0 This is what family holidays should be about!
