Man and woman marriage lead to Husband and wife union. When the children come lead them to be mother and father. Later to be grandmother and father with grand children. Gay marriage and lesbian marriage are nonsense and foolish sins. No husband and no wife to their marriage.

Well it seems the majority of those interviewed haven't come out to their family or to their colleagues at work so that in itself illustrates that living as an LGBT is not readily accepted. It's hard living in a closet.

Great interviews Yuta, it's funny to see how some things transcend cultures. Especially the idea, my parents are fine with other people being gay but I want my son or daughter to be "normal and happy"
I also wonder if a Buddhist culture is more generally accepting than a Christian or Islamic one. -
yuta san.... are you normal??!

0:55 The girl with glasses is soooo cutee! <3

そのビデオがありがとうさ、外国人いるんですけど、その特別のビデオは日本語で英語でもLGBTの問題についてが珍しいと思います。yutaさんは人々に声を出してあげて、それは素晴らしいと思います。

I never really thought about LGBT things in Japan, even though I knew lgbt porn existed there, until I saw debate after debate about 1 character in the anime Black Butler being a cross dressing gay man or a trans person. That was just a sudden flood of how Japan seems to view gay people through the 1 character, where the gay men often are effeminate, speak like a female through word endings and such, and crossdress while acting like swooning women. Or like the trans woman said (who has a very keen eye with pro lgbt legislation I might add), an "okama character" which Grell fits to a T. But even with the artist having the character say they are saving for an operation to fix the problem (as in Grell is trans) in a special thing, how the character acts and the artist refers to the character still leaves people unsure. And the Okama thing led down another flood of information I never knew about and then it led to Aya Kamikawa being mentioned in a chat board.
I'd love to know how the Japanese lgbt community felt when Aya Kamikawa was elected and re-elected in the Setagaya ward assembly. googles her and swoons -
I am spanish and I want to marry a japanese <3

Not hating or anything but holy shit the transition from the two girls at the start and then to the next person at 1:50

3:23 I'm in gay love right now 😂

Japanese is such a weird language to listen to as a non speaker. It sounds so very alien to my ears. Fascinating video, at least Japan is a very peaceful place, not so much violence, they are just still a bit rigid and traditional.

Some say that the guy is still trying to put his contacts in to this very day

listening to the trans woman speak made me a little sad actually. i hope things get better for her. she seems like the sort of person that is really resilient.

Interesting, I thought it was acceptable in Japan for people of the same gender to hold hands without it being thought of as gay.
