I think Uchimura has studied the history of Olympic level artistic gymnastics since the very beginning and I'll bet he has studied the lives of all the athletes who have competed and left their mark on the history of this the most difficult sport. Why does Uchimura compete in so many event finals? He does his best but he doesn't even medal. His thing is Floor and All-Around. Not Rings, Pommel Horse, Vault, Parallel Bars, or even High Bar.
