The U-S-S Chicago is currently moored at Yokosuka Naval Station, Yokosuka, Japan. Both submarines are based in Pearl Harbor. VOICE-OVER - 00:02 It may have looked like an elaborate P-R exercise. 00:06 But there was no denying Monday's tour of the U-S-S Chicago offered a rare glimpse inside a U-S submarine. 00:13 The visit comes as the U-S navy struggles to revive its tarnished image. 00:18 It hit rock bottom in February, when the Chicago's sister ship, the U-S-S Greenville, collided with a Japanese fishing vessel off the coast of Hawaii, killing nine of the crew. 00:28 Now U-S naval officials are considering whether to courtmartial the sub's commander. 00:33 The crew of the Greenville's sister ship is awaiting the decision with interest.
