I love both of those guys. I have nothing but respect and awe. I've spent 20 years working my way up through kitchens, even leased my own place for four years. It would be an honor to work with either of them.

"Extraordinary" x20

The only thing about wild strawberries -- they have almost no flavor. I have them growing in my yard. However, maybe they're not in that dessert for flavor -- maybe they're for texture, for scent, for whatever delicate flavor they might have, etc.

Tiny meals. Something I'll never understand.

Judging by the comments you ppl must not realize this was gordons first restaurant he opened himself. This was way back before kitchen nightmares or hells kitchen. And this isnt even no reservations. This is from "a cooks tour". It was also bourdains first show ever. Damn i miss this gordon

Too bad Gordon's food is being tasted by an insular and uneducated prick.

I'm happy to be cozy at home, with enough know-how to impress myself and anyone else I cook for, and make wonderful meals at 1/10th the cost of these "over the top" indulgences. Every-day, down-to-earth life is so much more enjoyable that way. I will admit though, Bourdain's NR is great fun to watch.
