Well, in the supernatural anime Tokyo ESP, you get all three and a whole lot more in an action anime which is totally not influenced by a certain gang of mutants that are quite MARVELlous. Subtle, aren't I?

One question is this like connected to ga-rei: zero? Because Yomi and Kagura (ga-rei: zero main characters) showed up in the beginning of episode 1.

I have to admit I enjoy the reviews that show some footage from the anime the best, though I always find Masako's reviews very enjoyable.

Damn it's not Himegoto (it's an anime that came out THIS SEASON). I always knew Japanese politics was up in the air, but this is ridiculous. Wolverine does not have scars on his face like Rinka's father. I like Masako's negative reviews more than his positive ones, because he has a tendency to overreact, which is why I want him to review Himegoto because chances are he'll hate it (he seemed to have gone mad in his School Days review). I guess the Angry Video Game Nerd uses negative reviews to his advantage since the audience enjoys it.

I'm glad you touched on the implications of the first episode on the latter half of the show. It was one of my two big issues with it (the other being the mediocre character designs, compared to the manga). ...Although, that fight scene from the first 2 minutes of episode 2 also pissed me off something hard, because the choreography of it made 0 sense, considering Rinka's power is to pass through solid objects >.>
Honestly, it's a show I would (and have) recommend to friends, but it comes with the stipulation of "skip the first episode and the pre-credits part of episode 2." Maybe they can go back to it at the end of the season, if they really feel like they need to. -
