ANA All Nippon Airways is the newest entrant in the Vancouver-Tokyo Route. Operating as Flight NH117, this route is also served by Japan Airlines and Air Canada all on Boeing 787 Dreamliners. ANA utilizes the more convenient Haneda Airport in Tokyo for this flight with lots of connecting opportunities as it is also its hub airport. Very hard to choose between this one and JL17 to Tokyo Narita.

ANA really cut down on the catering. That snack box is barely a meal.

Thanks for the video! I'll be going to Japan to Haneda from YVR so hopefully be on the same type of flight in Economy as well. I was wondering if there are usb ports included or a general international plug to charge your mobile devices.

All asian airlines are far superior than Air Canada, they offer better service and better treatment .

ANA has, effective April 28th 2016, performed an equipment switch from a 787-8 to a 787-9 on the YVR-HND route. Those in premium economy and economy will see no difference whatsoever in the hard product.
However, passengers in business class will see a SIGNIFICANT improvement in hard product since the 789 features ANA's new staggered, fully lie flat cubicle. This product is very much in line with the latest business class products from most international carriers in the long haul segment. I am shocked that ANA was using an angle reclining business product on a long haul route, as it is very non-competitive against it's major rivals on the NORTH AMERICAN-JAPAN routes (AC, UA, JAL, DELTA), and should be strictly confined to regional routes within Asia. -

Flight to Tokyo from YVR is served by JAL and ANA on B787. It seems very hard to chose between ANA/AC/JAL, but I noticed that JAL maintains 2-4-2 seat layout in Economy class. ANA changed their seat layout to 3-3-3 abreast.... so I think JAL is better now. (bit expensive)
