BluePrint Dance Review: Adidas NMD "Tokyo" The mesh upper is fused with some tonal "hyper fuse-like" tape to reinforce the shape. Heel support/stability comes in the form of the white rubber guard and padding along the sock liner. Full length boost is supported by the EVA plugs(Tokyo colorway is my favourite) to prevent boost from sinking too much. Rubber outsole is similar to the pure boost series. This runner runs slightly large so you can afford to go down half a size. I really like how the shoe looks, especially the colour blocking for the Tokyo. The tones are perfect with a monochrome look or if you are going for that minimalist style. The shoe also goes well with shorts(wear ankle or hidden socks) or you can rock them with some high socks and a jogger/chino. Performance-wise, I honestly expected more from such a hyped shoe. It's not as stable and supportive as the ultra boost yet not as cushiony as the pure boost. But being a lifestyle shoe it's understandable. Definitely decent for casual outings or short walks, it falls short when you need to do physical activity in them. Twist and turns are difficult as the loose upper tends to have some "separation" from the sole due to the stretch. The boost also protrudes a little too much on the heel which makes certain footwork and steps feel more clunky. All in all, still a great shoe to have, especially if you are into the trends. But perhaps not worth reseller prices of above $400. (4/5 for me) Dont forget to subscribe!
