A trip to the Tamiya Plamodel Factory in Shimbashi, Tokyo | Tokyo

Here is the video many of you have been waiting for! Here is my trip to the Tamiya Plamodel Factory store in Shimbashi, Tokyo! This store was incredible, and better than I had imagined! Check out the neat stuff I bought! I was surprised to see a selection of Italeri models there, too. Italeri is a plastic model manufacturer in Italy. Perhaps Tamiya is their distributor in Japan?

What was the Tamiya White Boxes at 4:07? Is that like their OM Kits or is it Japan 1/48 scale issues?
-

Dude..the first Tamiya store and where do you head for ? The TSHIRTS ??!!!
at 17:26 you sound like Gollum.."mine! they r mine" precioussss (is it a gold ring ? a new production model ?) -
Loved the atmosphere in there... sounded like a piano bar. I expected you to turn a corner, and see a piano player, and a singer in a gown, with a microphone.

I was going to watch some porn to beat off to, but this worked just as well.

Wow...modeller's porn for sure! What an awesome place! Two things I didn't like....first, you scooted right past the F1 models. Being a big fan of Tamiya F1 kits, I could have spent the entire day at that section....but, I guess ya can't please everyone! :) Second, being a retail guy for the past 35 years, it bugged me when you pulled out the kits to look at them and then put them back all willy-nilly! The people in the store take the time to make the presentation of their merchandise look good, the least you could do is take 2 seconds to put it back properly where you found it. Sorry...habit... Anyway, great video, man and yes I am jealous! Extremely..... :)

fingers crossed I'll be here later this year awesome vid

Only in Japan could there be such a complete and absolute respect for the scale modeling hobby! I really wish we had hobby stores like this here in the States!
