A Day In My Life (#1): As a Texan in Tokyo | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
In today's video, I will take y'all through an "average" day in Japan, from grocery shopping to working at home. Most days are a lot more eventful than this. I work 2-4 days outside the house (I have two part-time jobs)... because if I stay at home alone for too long, I start to get a bit "weird." If anyone is considering moving to Japan or becoming a freelancer, this is what life might be like. I don't know if it's good (and I certainly don't think it's bad) - it is what it is. In the future I'm going to make more of these videos :D One-time donation (to support the creation of videos): http://howibecametexan.com/donate/ Monthly support via Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/TexaninTokyo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Buy my comic books: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TexaninTokyo My comics (on Amazon): http://goo.gl/5SzZCr My comics (on my blog): http://howibecametexan.com/latest_blog_posts/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My blog: http://howibecametexan.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TexaninTokyo Twitter: https://twitter.com/texan_in_tokyo

Are you afraid to eat raw fish or anything from the ocean there after the nuclear disaster? I've read even the fish in the states have poison in them due to the Japan disaster.

I really like your videos. I want to see a video of you both only speaking japanese. I am learning it and it would be really cool to hear you're conversations. plus it will give me a look at what words to use as an "american learner" and how to speak personally to my pen pals there.

I love rice. I'm thinking the Japanese must be experts at making rice. ( I apologize if this is a stereo type) Question: Why do you use a rice maker? Does it make better rice than the normal way of putting rice into a pot of boiling water?

I wish I could get up when my boyfriend goes to work... I am awake and everything, but it gets too tempting to go back to sleep XD I've always been a night owl though.

I just moved from Washington state to Texas a couple months ago and it's been pretty hard :/ I hope one day I can live in Japan for a bit though ^^ I love your channel! People like you make me feel a lot more confident on the decision! <3

I really enjoy these. I actually had the opposite happen where I grew up on Okinawa with a military family and ended up going to Texas when I started high school. I would still love to go back to Japan though.
