Here's another special show to finish off 2015. This show is the last of 4 consecutive nights in Tokyo during Queensrÿche's headlining tour in the Spring of 1989. The show is almost full (most likely missing only 'Take Hold of the Flame'), and the quality is amazing, since it's directly from the soundboard (not FM sourced, but DIRECTLY from the soundboard). It's very dry, since it's got no audience in the mix (only what is picked up by the band's microphones). The quality alone makes this an awesome show to listen to! Now for the songs: Queensrÿche starts the show with some "old" cuts, all very nice renditions, although Geoff's husky voice is showcased, especially on songs like 'London' and 'No Sanctuary', where he also struggles with the very high notes (F5 and above). Other than that they're solid! The Mindcrime set is awesome, and the band plays almost the entire album too (leaving out only 'Suite Sister Mary' and the segues 'Waiting for 22' and 'My Empty Room'). They finish off with two nice renditions of 'Queen of the Reich' and 'The Lady Wore Black'. You gotta love the drone in the beginning of 'QotR'! This is a very nice show, with great quality too. I'll see you in 2016 for even more Queensrÿche shows! Enjoy!
