Tsukiji Market is the biggest fish market in Tokyo, Japan. Tsukiji's Kanji (築地)literally means reclaimed land. It was named this because during the Tokugawa Shogunate, they used the dirt that was dug out while making the moat and canals in Tokyo and filling in the marshes in the area. This reclaimed land quickly became the largest wholesale market in Tokyo. Nearby is the very large Hamarikyu Park. We went filming with the incredibly lovely Angela of the internationallyme channel.
