SUBTITLES (original language): * Welcome to the Get Japan news! I'm Sébastien Duval, I'm in Tokyo, it's Friday 25 November 2016, and I have news for the coming week, I have reports about Jimbocho Film Festival, Bunkyo Chrysanthemum Festival, Halal Expo, Tokyo Modest Fashion Show, and many other things... but first: things about our crazy weather! * Get Japan - Get the News * Wednesday, in Tokyo near Asakusa, we could spot cherry blossoms and red, orange and yellow leaves and... well Thursday we had snow in Tokyo! That's a bit bizarre for this year! * Until Wednesday, you can still participate to the Kanda Curry Stamp Rally so... for people who want to do everything you have to go to 83 different places; I think it's impossible until that day but you can at least do 1 pack: that's only 20 places so you have four days; good luck! * On Saturday from 11:00, fans of martial arts can enjoy the 56th All Japan University Aikido Demonstration. It will be in Tokyo north of the Imperial Palace at the Nippon-budokan, which has a very nice shape, and the entrance is free. Have a look! * Saturday & Sunday, art lovers can enjoy the 44th Design Festa. It will be in Tokyo, south, on Odaiba artificial island, at Tokyo Big Sight. You can see installations, you can see live performances, you can buy artworks... The entrance is only 1.000 yens approximately so go, have fun and enjoy even if the weather is really bad! * On Sunday from 11:00 to 16:00, if you are interested in metal works, glass works, you can join a factory tour and workshop organized by Tadaima Japan. You need to register on their Website and you need to do that before 17:00 today... so if it's already Saturday when you see this video, it's too late but they have other activities; you can check their Website! * Two weeks ago, I went to Kashihara city at Kashihara shrine and I saw this huge huge plaque for the Monkey Year and they are going to change on Wednesday to put a big chicken instead so if you travel in the area go have a look. * If you are thinking more long-term and you want to come study and live in Japan in 2017 and 2018, you can check out the Coto Language Academy; they have a program called Coto Work Experience+ and that should help you with your first experience in Japan, first work experience in Japan, which is very difficult to get normally. Check their Website and if you have questions, ask the staff! * Last Saturday, film lovers gathered for Jimbocho Film Festival in Tokyo near Jimbocho station. First we had an award ceremony at Terrace Square and after that we had projections at Jimbocho Theatre. It was very interesting and the winner was a musical comedy called "My Road Movie". It was written by Kakukawa Hiroaki and it was starring "Hokura Daisaku". Foreigners are welcome for next year in 2017 if they want to propose their own creations but there is a topic so you need to wait for instructions. See you next year! * Until last Wednesday, we had the Bunkyo Chrysanthemum Festival in Tokyo. So, it was near Ueno Park at Yushima Tenjin Shrine. There were lots of chrysanthemums, they were forming landscapes, they were forming historical characters, there were some cool shapes... and I even saw some bonsai. Also there were rare creations of Edo era (that was between 200 and 400 years ago) like this intertwined chrysanthemum ranked as "top" by Japanese specialists. Look at the photo, this is super rare. It's not a miss, it's very successful. And the next festival will be in November 2017. Go next year if you think this is really interesting! * I have spent 2 days at the Halal Expo Japan and Tokyo Modest Fashion Show on Tuesday and Wednesday... * On Wednesday, just before the snow, we had many Japanese people at Tori-no-ichi market... * If you are vegan, if you like good food, on Wednesday Ain.Soph Ginza made a renewal open...
