Re:Tempura Soba - 10:53
Making sounds when you eat noodles in Japan has a lot of debates. There are many Japanese people who hate sounds of noodle slurping. (Probably 50% of Japanese people hate it) but they do not expressively say it to other people, but keep that feelings inside them, just to be polite to others. ----- People who have class do not make sounds much. Those who slurp loudly are people do not want to change their lifestyle, or it became their habit to do it, or never thought about it because it became their custom. ----- Haters never say anything in front of person who make noise. ----- But on the web / youtube people cannot see faces and names. Some people comment very harshly regarding the noise of noodle eating and person on the video surprised and upset. ----- Do not assume making noise while you slurp is a good manner in Japan. -
Are the places on the list friendly for English speakers? I'm going to Japan in March of 2017 and will do my best to learn some Japanese, but for the most part is it doable if you just speak English?

Hi, thnx for the video. Such a great informative video. Thanks again :-)
-
how is the language barrier.. I don't know any Japanese would it be difficult to communicate to someone and to order from a menu?
-
Great video. You make me want to take time to visit all the places you mentioned.
-
Prestine, Precise, Polite, and Progressive.
-
Cool Video, I'm going to Tokyo in the Winter. This will help planning my trip a lot!

You are a believer. but only because it pays to be so. What else can you do if paid adequately? Is this precise or polite enough for you, or the Japanese people you get paid to speak for?
Shin-Okubo street is a great place if you enjoy all things Korean. It has a lot of Korean BBQ places where famous Korean artists eat when they are in Tokyo! :)
