The 2015 Nobel Prize in physics was awarded to Takaaki Kajita from Japan and Arthur McDonald from Canada on Tuesday. The Nobel Committee rewarded the two scientists for their work on neutrinos, ubiquitous subatomic particles that are extremely difficult to study. Takaaki, 56, works as a director at the Institute for Cosmic Ray Research and as a professor at the University of Tokyo while 72-year-old professor Arthur McDonald is located at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
