This is the 2,5-star hotel I was staying in with my parents (I had my own room, we booked two rooms) on my trip to greater Tokyo, Japan during 27.12.2015 - 09.01.2016 (13 nights, we also celebrated the New Year), and this is me filming the hotel room and the elevator at the Kawasaki Central Hotel in Kawasaki, Greater Tokyo, Japan on the same evening when we had checked in at the hotel (27.12.15). We were quite tired, because the time difference between Finland and Japan is 7 hours (so we were quite jet-lagged), but the best way is to always stick to the local time - the next day I was already feeling better. This is a small and narrow business hotel with 96 rooms and 11 floors, opened in early 1996. It is located not far from Keikyu Kawasaki Station and JR Kawasaki Railway station, and the city of Kawasaki is very conveniently located just 18km from Tokyo (10 minutes on JR Tokaido line (skipping the stations served by the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line) to Shinagawa (next station), from where one can change to the JR Yamanote Line to get to most central wards in Tokyo), and 11km from Yokohama (9 minutes on JR Tokaido Line (next station, skipping all the stations served by the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line). The rooms were small and simple, but functional, there was free wi-fi and private bathroom with bathtub, and the breakfast was also included. On the 9th floor, there is a laundry room with washing machines that work with Japanese yen (100 yen coins), and also a vending machine with drinks and snacks and some simple food. We had our two rooms on the 6th floor. The level of service was great, even though they didn't speak that much English in this hotel, but we did quite well with some of our knowledge of Japanese. All in all, a cheap and pleasant hotel experience. There is only one elevator in this narrow hotel (the elevator is used by guests and houskeeping staff and everybody - mixed-use).
