SUBTITLES (original language): * Welcome to the Get Japan news! I'm Sébastien Duval, I'm in Tokyo, and it's Friday 18 November 2016. Today, I'm going to talk about Mount Fuji, flowers, food & drinks, martial arts, and Japanese public holidays! * Until Wednesday, flower lovers can enjoy the Bunkyo Chrysanthemum Festival. It will be in Tokyo near Ueno Park at Yushima Tenjin Shinto Shrine. There will be 2.000 flowers, mainly potted but some of them will be combined to make dolls. It's rare, especially in Tokyo. Go have a look! * Saturday from 18:00 to 21:00, wine enthusiasts can enjoy an event about shochu from Miyazaki prefecture. It will be in Tokyo near Omotesando avenue at OnJapan Café. There will be tasting, a talk about shochu, a talk about Miyazaki, and you have a chance to win a round-trip ticket to Miyazaki. It's only 2.000 yens but you need to register beforehand. Be careful, there are only 60 places. * Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday from 09:00, fans of martial arts can enjoy the All Japan University Karate Championships. It will be in Tokyo, North of the Imperial Palace, at the Nippon-budokan. You can see men fight, you can see women fight, and you can see groups perform kata; it should be really nice. * Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00, you can enjoy the Kyoto Vegan Gourmet Festival in Kyoto at Umekoji Park. The food & drinks look really really delicious on the official Website but everything is in Japanese... Go and tell me if it was really cool. * Tuesday from 09:45 and Wednesday from 10:00 to 17:00, entrepreneurs, food specialists and Muslims can enjoy the Halal Expo Japan & the Tokyo Modest Fashion Show. It will be in Tokyo near Asakusa station at Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Taito-kan. The entrance is free, there will be 85 exhibitors; they will talk about food, there will be stuff about beauty, there will be stuff about fashion, there will be services/government. If you want to work in Japan, maybe there is some stuff for you. If you pay, you can also attend some of the seminars, there will be interpreters but you need to register online so do it today. The keynote speaker will be Yoshiaki Nakamura, head of Japan Inbound Solutions; he will talk about "Inbound Tourism and Urban Development – Alongside Supporting Halal". Go, he is very interesting. * As you can see on the calendar, 23 November 2016 is a red day, that's a Japanese national holiday; it will be "Labour Thanksgiving Day" so plan accordingly, many shops will be closed, other will change their working time, probably many of the tourist spots will be very very crowded. Still, enjoy! * All the coming week, you can enjoy the koyo red, orange & yellow leaves so it's over North of Tokyo but it's beautiful almost everywhere else near Mount Fuji, in Kyoto, in Hiroshima... The only place that is still not red, orange and yellow is Tokyo. For that we need to wait a bit longer for the temperatures to go down. Maybe in two weeks? * Thanks for watching until the end! Please give us a THUMB UP, put comments and questions in the comment section, and subscribe to get more news every week! Next Friday, we are going to talk about aikido, halal food, vegan food, and internships in Japan. In the meantime, have a nice day, enjoy new tastes, and enjoy Japan!
