I wanna know what western europe and the uk are going to get this winter. up to now in the uk its been a odd autmn, one storm that lasted a day with very heavy rain, its been very settled with high pressure close to the uk so very settled, if this keeps up into winter its gonna = cold weather

Doesn't even snow that much in Chiba even in winter. The interesting point is that it was at of cold period of Muromachi that wars between the hunter gather Ainu-Japanese and the agrarian Asian-Japanese intensified. After which the agrarian diet based people could expand north during the following warm period. Because of this fact I believe latitude 38° is a more significant number than 40° or 45° North. Anything above the 38° North will be tough to be agrarian type person. Better learn to eat like an Eskimo and get seal fat.

Come to Minnesota though and tell me it's an ice age. It's still 40 degrees and raining. Haven't had really bad winter for a long time. I remember when I was a kid the snow was so high you could jump off the house and be good to go. Now we more ore less get warm Decembers, but really freaking cold February's. I feel like the equator moved, look how insane the heat was North of the old equator.
