1. I really really hope you guys understand that in war civilians will always be a casualty! In war if your house or neighborhood harbored factories and resources that the enemy will do what it takes to destroy...for all of you commenting that The US Is horrible for doing this...just remember if we were on the losing side we would have suffered the same fate!

   to turn the tide against the Japanese. The push began on
   
   April 18 with a daring raid on Tokyo and other Japanese
   
   cities. Lieutenant Colonel James Doolittle led 16 bombers in
   
   the attack. The next day, Americans awoke to headlines that
   
   read “Tokyo Bombed! Doolittle Do’od It.” Pulling off a Pearl
   
   Harbor–style air raid over Japan lifted America’s sunken
   
   spirits. At the same time, it dampened spirits in Japan.

9. That's what you get Japan ! Revenge for Pearl Harbor ( and a lot of other things ) . We came , we flew over, we burned your country to the ground ........and then we dropped a couple nuclear bombs on you .
10. Ok, this was tragic. Now lets talk about how the Japanese military treated all of the other Asian races under their domain during WWII. We'll start with Nanking in China (300,000 dead), then head to the Philippines (10,000 Philippinos and 650 Americans dead), then to Japan itself where human experimentation was performed on live subjects (250,000 dead), and then maybe we'll talk about how they BURIED people alive, knowingly instituted sexual slavery, cannibalized American POWs, used chemical weapons, feigned death to lure Americans into traps, and used drugged suicidal pilots to blow up American ships. Of course, lets also remember that the Japanese government was prepared to have literally everyone fight in the event of an American mainland invasion (this would have included women and children). Obviously firebombing a city is horrible, but so is bombing a military installation in a day-light surprise raid and not expecting them to respond with AGGRESSIVE and OVERWHELMING military force in the future.

12. The Japanese emperor Hirohito (1901 - 1989) was 100% responsible for this bombing, not American people. I live in Brazil.
