10-Hour Layover in Narita, Japan!!! What to do? | Tokyo
Information | History | View | Sightseeing | Video
I had a long layover during the day in Narita airport, which is about 1.5 hours away from Tokyo. Though Tokyo was somewhat close by, I decided to visit Narita City, which is only a 10-minute train ride from the airport...was not disappointed! Though it was a cold & rainy day, it did not stop me or many other tourists from visiting the walking city! The big highlights for me were: Buddhist temple, rows of shops selling snacks to souvenirs, & the food (Unagi and takoyaki). Filmed with: - iPhone 5S - Canon S110 (https://goo.gl/nzXDPf)

Thank you for this video Vincent. I might be doing a layover at Narita on December so this really helps to get an example of what I can do in the city. Video is so clear and sharp.

Hello, Where did you put all your luggage?

Hey man! Awesome video! I have a 6hr40min layover at Narita soon and I want to do the same thing you did, explore Narita City! Just got questions if you don't mind helping me out:
1.) How long did it take you to clear out customs and purchase train tickets once you got off plane?
2.) How long was train ride to Narita?
3.) About how much in US Dollars did you exchange for Japanese Yen? (I wanna eat unagi, purchase train ticket, buy a small souvenier or two)
4.) How long did it take for you once you got back to the airport to go through security, customs, and check in for your connecting flight?
Thanks again! -
I will do the same trip with the same long layover next week(9Hours) I was going to go to Tokyo until I saw this, Much better idea. Closer, less expensive, food looks great. Thanks Vince.

I once did a 10 hour Narita layover. I was able to shower at the airport and then venture into Tokyo (Shibuya) despite it being rush hour and being on crutches...

I have an 11 hour layover coming up. Thank you!
